In response to your inquiry, we will send you an email invitation to create an account in our online admissions system. This will allow you to fill out an application for your child. If you choose to submit an application, there is a $35 non-refundable application fee. The application submission date and priority of acceptance criteria (shown below) are factors we consider when reviewing candidates.Documents needed as part of the application process can be uploaded to our online admissions system. These requested documents include copies of the child’s birth certificate, health appraisal, immunization record, baptismal record, report card, standardized testing scores, and educational support records. All new candidates will receive grade-level screening.

If you would like to come and see our school, St. Joseph School holds an open house on the last Sunday of January as a kickoff to Catholic Schools Week. If you wish to visit our school on another date, please feel free to call 248-693-6215 to arrange a tour. Candidates for Grades 3-8 can be offered a shadow day where the child gets to join a class for half a day and interact with students, learn from teachers, and experience lunch and recess.
Application & Registration Timeline- On October 1st, we begin accepting applications for the upcoming school year. We only accept applications for the upcoming school year.
- Between February 1st – 14th, registration opens only for current/returning students and siblings of current students in good standing.
- From February 15th to the start of school, registration opens for new family applicants. Applications submitted by February 15 will receive priority consideration per the Priority of Acceptance policy shown below.
- Once the school year has begun, applications for the current school year for any remaining openings will be considered at the school's discretion.

New students who are considered only on a space-available basis - preference considerations for kindergarten through grade 8 are as follows:
- The student’s family is registered at St. Joseph Parish, Christ the Redeemer Parish, or St. John Fisher Parish and is an active member of the parish. Active parishioners are defined as registered members who faithfully attend weekend Mass and contribute regularly to the needs of the church, according to their means.
- The student’s family is registered in another Catholic parish.
- All others
St. Joseph School admits students of any race, nationality, and ethnic origin to all programs and activities sponsored by the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, nationality, ethnic origin, or gender in the administration of education policies, admissions, and athletic or other school sponsored programs as required by the terms of Title IX of the Education Act of 1972.
